Kin Sze is a gifted teacher. After 20 + years in the martial arts, I am able to discern between those who pretend, and those who walk the walk. Kin is strong and capable, has produced many top students in Choy Lay Fut, and has a tremendous ability to combine both traditional and modern training methods. He is also a very generous man, helping out the special needs community by allowing us to rent his space. He walks the life of a martial artist and I cannot recommend his school enough.

I've been practicing with Sifu Kin for the past 3 months and I absolutely love it. His understanding of the human anatomy is a key factor to why his teaching is so effective. I've learned a lot in a relatively short period of time and I already see a big difference in my body and my practice. If you're thinking about it, don't waste your time, and just go for it.

I've only been a part of the Bamboo Kung Fu community for a couple of months, but I've already noticed a significant improvement in my flexibility, posture (what you learn strengthens your core and your back like you wouldn't believe!), cardio, and overall fitness & health. Our Sifu, Kin Sze, has a deep understanding of human anatomy, and takes time to make sure his students understand and appreciate the physics behind each technique. If you want a better understanding of the martial arts / kung fu techniques you're learning (more than you would at most "boxercise" or kickboxing gyms), this is definitely where you want to be! The best part of Bamboo Kung Fu, though, is that it's very welcoming and community driven. You train and learn with others as much as you train and learn from Sifu Kin. If you're serious about practicing martial arts in Toronto, I would 100% recommend Bamboo Kung Fu.

I saw Bamboo Kung Fu on Groupon and have been going twice a week for the last month. I really enjoy the classes they are varied with stretching, core, and comat. Drew is a great instructor and tries to give 1:1 feedback as often as he can. I will definitely continue my membership after the Groupon.

I have been going here for 3 months and Bamboo Kung Fu is great! Prior to this I had never done any sort of martial arts. However, the instruction and community there has been very supportive and encouraging. From others I have spoken to about my experience there, and my own impression, Bamboo Kung Fu is the real deal. Convenient location down-town Toronto has been a huge plus for me and I have been able to fit 3 classes a week into my busy schedule.

Bamboo Kung Fu is an environment where you can hone your body- or at least prevent it from stiffening up after sitting at your day job. Each class is an opportunity to learn something new, and the energy boosts are immense. An excellent way to keep fit and healthy!

I've been attending the kickboxing classes for around 4 months now. Fantastic little studio, small classes mean plenty of individual attention to help everyone reach their full potential. Drew is a welcoming, positive and professional teacher.

I've been going to this school for almost 3 years now and I've loved every minute of it. Sifu Kin Sze is an amazing teacher who is passionate about sharing the martial art known as Choi Lee Fut. You can see it every day when he teaches his students. During the classes he takes the time to explain why you doing each technique and when you can apply it. Showing that Kung Fu is real and how you could also apply it in a real world situation. It is a laid back atmosphere, but Sifu Kin Sze and the students know when to get serious and get to work. A few times a year we'll have parties (sometimes karaoke :P ) just to have a little fun outside of class. For all these reasons and more, I honestly believe this is one of the best Kung Fu / Martial Arts schools in Toronto.

Bamboo Kung Fu is a great place to physically and maybe even mentally improve yourself while learning a form of martial arts. You can learn a lot from Sifu Kin Sze who is very knowledgeable when it comes to Kung fu and the human body. I have been training here for about 10 months and I have improved my strength, flexibility, learned the basic form and got to train with some pretty cool people. No matter who you are Bamboo Kung Fu offers a friendly environment to learn Kung fu and get in shape or become stronger.

Bamboo Kungfu has helped me in a lot of ways. It has given me strength, speed, flexibility and most of all, confidence. I joined Bamboo Kungfu because I wanted to learn a Martial Art to be able to defend myself in violent situations. This was very important because I don't live in the best neighbourhood (Scarborough). To my surprise, I found Bamboo Kungfu, a school that teaches Choy Lee Fut Kungfu which is a traditional Chinese Martial Arts. I was overjoyed when I found out that my Sifu (teacher) is none other than Kin Sze, who has a ton of experience under his belt! Also, the school is located so conveniently that it takes me a 7 minute drive to get to class! At Bamboo Kungfu, I learned so many amazing techniques that don't just look good, they actually work! I found that each move is actually lethal, even the blocks. I am surrounded by people who share my passion for Kungfu which certainly helps me in my training. The skills and confidence that I have gained are invaluable. I find that there are two things that must be done when joining a school: 1. Find the right teacher 2. Practice I accomplished both of them by studying under Sifu Kin Sze, who motivates me to practice and continue my learning in this ever-learning art. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to gain confidence, power, and improve their physique, all while having fun!

Bamboo Kung Fu helped create a physical goal that appeared achievable, and helped me realize I am capable of much more than I give myself credit. I had attempted to learn a series of different martial arts styles from several different venues. Most did not understand the foundations of their own studies enough to teach students in a unique enough way to adhere to the individual needs. At Bamboo my personal abilities are challenged everyday, not the unreal goals set by martial arts movies and televised fighting competitions. Since my first day training with Si Fu Kin Sze I've felt comfortable. I have taken with me not only physical superiority, but a better understanding of myself. I look forward to training here for a very long time.
